Ashley Barill Smith

Ashley grew up in the border town of El Paso, Texas. She attended St. Mary’s University – San Antonio and obtained two Bachelor’s Degrees – one in Mathematics and the other in Political Science in 2013. Ashley then pursued law school at South Texas College of Law and graduated in 2016 and completed the Transactional Law Certificate course. Ashley passed the July 2016 Texas Bar Exam and began practicing personal injury law in November 2016. Ashley also has admission to the Southern District of Texas. Ashley has done work on both sides of personal injury litigation as a Plaintiff attorney and as a Defense attorney. This allows Ashley an insight into the minds of a Defense attorney and Insurance Companies. Ashley also speaks Spanish and enjoys using it on a daily basis to communicate with her clients. Ashley’s biggest goal is for her clients to be informed throughout every step in the litigation process.

Ashley occasionally volunteers her time with Houston Volunteer Lawyers and takes pride in helping people navigate the legal system.
